Pioneer of Chinese Medicine Going Global" Enabling the Construction of High Quality Overseas Centers

On June 28-30, a delegation of Chinese medicine led by Cao Qifeng, deputy director of Zhejiang Provincial Health Commission, Chen Zhengfang, director of Cooperation and Exchange Division, and Ma Huijuan, secretary of the Party Committee of the Third Hospital Affiliated to Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, visited Belarus. During the visit, the delegation attended the 2^nd China Commodities and Services (Belarus) Exhibition held in Belarus China-Belarusian Industrial Park, and visited the General Directorate of Health of Minsk Region and Minsk Regional Hospital of Belarus.

The delegation of Zhejiang Traditional Chinese Medicine held a roundtable meeting with the relevant persons in charge of the General Directorate of Health of Minsk Region, Belarusian Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Minsk Regional Hospital. Cao Qifeng said that Zhejiang Province and Minsk Oblast, as friendly provinces and states, have broad prospects for cooperation in the field of medical and health care. Cooperation in the field of traditional Chinese medicine is progressing well. Supported by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine project, the Third Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (THZCMU) helped the construction of China - Belarus Traditional Chinese Medicine Center. The hospital and the Belarusian side have been maintaining close communication, carrying out in-depth academic exchanges in acupuncture, massage, rehabilitation and other areas, all of which plays a significant role in promoting cooperation in the field of traditional medicine and guarding the health of the local people. In the future, with the goal of building a high-quality Chinese medicine center, we should further broaden the areas of cooperation between the two sides, deepen the level of exchanges, and enrich the connotation of China-Belarus all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership with practical actions.

Igor Shamal, Director of the General Health Bureau of Minsk Region, pointed out that the China-Belarus Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine was set up in the Minsk Regional Hospital, acupuncture, moxibustion and other traditional Chinese medicine therapies have been commonly used in clinical practice. Chinese medicine broadens the field of service, enriches the means of treatment of diseases, and plays an important role in enhancing the health of the local population, and I believe that the two sides will carry out fruitful exchanges and cooperation in the future.

Ma Huijuan pointed out that the hospital is willing to maintain long-term friendly cooperation with the Minsk Regional Hospital, and at the same time welcome the doctors in Belarus to come to our hospital for study and exchange, and the two sides will continue to deepen the cooperation, explore more areas of cooperation, optimize the content and mode of cooperation between the two sides, and open up a highly efficient operation mechanism, so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win cooperation between the two hospitals, and jointly enrich the connotation and extension of the high-quality construction of the China-Belarus Center and make a contribution to the long-term health development of China and Belarus. China and Belarus will work together to make positive contributions to the long-term healthy development of the two countries, and at the same time promote the internationalization and modernization of Chinese medicine and enhance the influence and competitiveness of Chinese medicine in the world.

The two sides also discussed the qualification of Chinese doctors practicing medicine in Belarus, working visa, application of TCM rehabilitation technology, cultivation of medicinal plants, registration and use of Chinese herbal medicines.
