Introduction of China-Belarus Chinese Medicine Centre

Under the guidance of Health Commission of Zhejiang Province, Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Zhejiang Province and General Health Directorate of Minsk, the Third Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (Zhongshan Hospital of Zhejiang Province) took the lead in constructing the Sino-Belarusian TCM Center in conjunction with Minsk Regional Hospital. Located in the capital of Belarus, the center was formally operated in 2018. Now it has six major diagnosis and treatment areas of nearly 3,000 square meters characteristic of TCM, carrying out acupuncture, moxibustion, tuina, auricular acupoints, gongfu, bloodletting, cupping, salt baths and other nearly 20 kinds of TCM therapies, and providing high-quality and efficient services for Belarusians, which is highly popular among the local people. During the COVID-19 pandemic period, the Center conducted several online academic exchanges with regional hospitals in Minsk on the prevention and treatment of COVID-19, and taught Belarusians the Chinese program of "prevention, treatment and rehabilitation" of COVID-19 and Zhejiang experience, which was highly recognized by the local government of Minsk.

The Center also actively organizes activities to introduce TCM to Belarusian schools, enterprises and communities. According to incomplete statistics, the center has so far served more than 60,000 local patients, carried out the health consultations and promotions of the eight brocade and Yijin Jing for the local people more than 30 times, becoming the high-quality TCM diagnostic and treatment services highland in Belarus, the excellent display window of TCM culture, and the important position of civilization exchanges and mutual understanding. The vivid practice of TCM in Belarus has been reported by Belarusian TV, Belarusian News Agency, People's Daily, Health News, China Traditional Chinese Medicine Newspaper and other authoritative media. The leaders of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Chinese Embassy in Belarus and the Minsk State Government fully affirmed the experience after visiting the center, praising it as "the best overseas TCM center".
